With a high percentage of Ghana’s economy found in the informal sector, SMEs which understand and follow investment advice from ‘Wo Sika S3m’ can build capital and raise enough money to expand their businesses, diversify and improve upon what they do.

‘Wo Sikas3m’, the daily financial literacy segment in Ghana’s widely spoken local language; Twi will be broadcasted live on Happy98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben current affairs talk show at 2pm every weekday, reaching people in Accra and its surrounding regions. With nationwide and ultimately the global reach as the goal, affiliates of Happy98.9FM will broadcast this segment live, with Akonoba 92.7FM serving those in the Bono, Bono East and Ahofo regions.

Neesim 100.1FM and Neesim 95.9FM will serve Ghanaians in the Northern, Savanna, North East and Upper East regions respectively with Happy98.9FM also capitalizing on its digital assets to reach the global populace.

Managing Director for EDC Investments Ltd, Mr. Paul Kofi Mante enthused with the partnership to educate and develop the capacity of the informal sector and SMEs shared, “we are not only advising people to invest and raise enough to inject into their businesses, but we want them to invest and make investment an alternative source of income. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that things can change overnight so when you’re working and the business is booming, we encourage you to invest and make money from your money. That’s why we are working with Happy on this campaign to educate SMEs on money and let them understand we can all make it in life.”

Director of Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC), Timothy Karikari, asserting the priority the brand places on its listeners stated that, the ‘Wo Sika S3m’ campaign was one of the many programs aimed at empowering listeners. To him, this exclusive project will not only shoot SMEs and businesses owners into the future of business but also usher them into the new era where they can also boast of multiple streams of income.

Money is considered a major life course regardless of one’s profession or social status and this campaign seeks to build capacity and knowledge about money. As multiple streams of income is a necessity and not a luxury, all listeners of Happy98.9FM are entreated to tune in weekly to receive these money-making nuggets from EDC investments.
