John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has charged the Ghanaian electorate to vote massively against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 general election in protest against what he said is the wanton dissipation of state resources.

Addressing separate rallies at Nadowli and Wichaw as part of his 3-day campaign tour of the Upper West region, the NDC’s flagbearer said the NPP-led government has plunged the country into serious economic crisis due to corruption and mismanagement.

Mahama maintained that the electorate will be endorsing impunity and economic hardship if the NPP is retained in the upcoming elections.

“Any person who votes for NPP in this election is voting for impunity. Encouraging them to do what they have done to the citizens, and the pain they have inflicted on the citizens. What you are saying is you don’t find anything wrong with it.

“You vote for NPP because you don’t see anything wrong with how they have mismanaged this economy. You know, the best message that Ghanaians can send not only to the NPP, but to the rest of the world is that they have done enough damage, and it is time for them to go into opposition and go and reflect on the damage that they have done to this country.

The NDC’s flag bearer is continuing his tour of the Upper West region today, October 13 on day two and will be visiting areas such as Funsi, Nabulo, Tumu, and Gwollu.
