“We wish to state emphatically, devoid of any equivocation, that the company has NO hand in the said incident and condemn in no uncertain terms the killings,” the statement read.

It acknowledged the active involvement of the police in investigating the case, including the preparation of an autopsy report.

According to Electrochem Ghana, due to its confidence in the Ghana Police Service and to avoid prejudicing the ongoing investigation, the company has decided to refrain from providing detailed comments at this stage.

“We are very much aware that the police have taken the issue up and are investigating the case, including coming up with the autopsy report. We have decided to wait and come out with a more detailed press release on the incident since we will not want to preempt the workings of the police,” the statement added.

EGL reiterated its commitment to collaborating with the people of Ada for mutual benefit, affirming a positive working relationship with the community.
