Scores of mourners and sympathisers will this morning converge at the forecourt of the State House to bid farewell to the late General Manager of the Joy Brands, Elvis Koku Kwashie.
The ‘Real Boss’ as he’s affectionately known died at the Intensive Care Unit of the University of Ghana Medical Centre on 28 December 2021.
“It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we announce the painful death of our dear colleague, Elvis Koku Kwashie, General Manager for Joy Brands. Elvis passed away at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Tuesday night, December 28, 2021, after a short illness.”
“We pray that God will comfort his wife and children, his bereaved family and all of us here at the Multimedia Group and grant us the fortitude to bear this loss,” the memo from the Multimedia group announcing his death added.
The solemn event will climax at his hometown in the Volta Region where his mortal remains will be laid to rest.
Earlier on Wednesday, scores of grieving sympathisers trooped to the number eight Hampton Court, at Adjiriganor, where a vigil was held in his honour.

Elvis Kwashie was a seasoned professional with more than two decades of experience in media and communications, spanning print, online, radio and television.

Having secured his journalism training at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Mr Kwashie also pursued further studies, acquiring a certificate in Multimedia & Online Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Berlin-Germany.
While at MGL, Elvis Kwashie undertook courses in leadership at Harvard University in the United States.
