Faith-based

According to Madam Vivienne Achel, the Okaikwei North Municipal Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), faith-based organizations must refrain from comments and actions that would compromise the peace of the country.

Faith-based

She noted that churches and mosques have a pivotal role to play in protecting the peace.

Madam Achel made the appeal during an engagement with faith-based organizations in the Okaikwei North Municipality.

“I entreat all faith-based organizations to desist from irresponsible comments that would create conflicts in the Municipality. We should also advise our family members not to engage themselves in things like ballot snatching, multiple voting and other electoral malpractices” Madam Achel noted.

Faith-based

Speaking on vote buying, Madam Matilda Asiedu, the Chief Field Officer of the Commission in the Municipality urged voters to desist from receiving gifts, money or any form of inducements with the intention of influencing their votes.

Faith-based

An Assistant Civic Education Officer Ms Wendy Opoku tasked Ghanaians to verify the source of information before sharing with others to avoid creating fear and panic.

She also took the participants through the proper way of folding the ballot paper in order to reduce spoilt and rejected ballots in the impending elections.
