Dear P.K. Sarpong
I have come across your recent article, and have read your attempt to denigrate and thwart the achievements and effort of Hon. Catherine Afeku in our body politics and development as a country.
Inasmuch as I respect your perspective about the comments made by the former law fashionist, I would like to provide some clarification to ease your consumption and digestion of the important issues raised in her assertion.
On her account about the branded pick-up vehicles with pictures of the Vice President, the former Tourism minister and former member of parliament sought to primarily unravel the risk associated with transporting the vehicles during the day, judging from the fury and anger harboured in the citizenry especially the uninformed youth on our approach of resuscitating the economy as a government.
The branded vehicles could be exposed to damage or vandalism.
At the same we as a party need to be sensitive to the economic challenges in our utterances and attitude and that is what she admonished and I am sure you agree with her
It is essential to emphasize and equally necessary to mention that the remarks made by Hon. Catherine Afeku were not intended to cause harm to the Vice President, Alhaji Bawumia or his campaign. The former MP holds deep respect for all candidates vying for the flagbearership position in our party, including Hon. Alan Kyerematen and Dr. Bawumia
Furthermore, she believes in constructive and respectful dialogue within our party. Hon. Catherine Afeku values our democratic process and also understands that diverse opinions contribute to a robust decision-making process. Regardless of the outcome of the flagbearership contest, she remains committed to supporting our party and its chosen candidate for the upcoming elections.
Regarding your mention of the Evalue Gwira Constituency seat in the Western Region, your concern is well noted. Hon. Catherine Afeku is actively working to strengthen our party’s presence in all constituencies across the country, including Evalue Gwira. The NPP is dedicated to regaining lost seats and expanding our representation in Parliament as this will contribute to our overall success in our quest to provide quality governance to the people of this Republic.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. The office of Hon. Catherine Afeku is open for further discussions and collaboration as we work together to achieve our common goals.
Warm Regards.
Freduah-Agyeman Amofa
Aide to Hon. Catherine Afeku.
