Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia today, Thursday, July 14, 2022, addressed Ghanaians on the decision by the Akufo-Addo-led government to return to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for economic assistance.
Ghana went back to the Bretton Wood Institutions on July 1, 2022, after the President directed the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta to engage the Fund in the wake of the country’s economic woes.
Since this development, there have been varied opinions on the move with some lauding the move while others continue to lambast the government.
Dr Bawumia addressed the country at an engagement at the Accra Business School.
