Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann has promised to emulate the work ethics of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to propel the Ga East Municipal Assembly to its desired state.

All 15 Assembly Members of the Municipality took their turn to endorse Kaakie Mann whose confirmation was one of the smoothest held till date.

“Mr President, I note with pride how throughout the first four years in office, you toiled day and night to rebuild our nation and have set us back on to the path of development. I promise to abide by this same ethos and instill a sense of commitment and service to the people throughout my tenure in office to advance your development agenda in the Municipality” she added.

“I am deeply indebted to our Hon Member of Parliament, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo who has throughout this process, offered her immense support to me to steer the affairs of the Assembly. Throughout her tenure as Member of Parliament, she has championed efforts towards empowering the women of our constituency which culminated in Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah being named as the first female Chief Executive of Ga East and now myself as Municipal Chief Executive in the second term of the New Patriotic Party government”
She continued: “I deeply appreciate the vote of confidence our Assembly Members have reposed in me today to lead the Ga East Municipal Assembly. I promise to work hand in hand with the Assembly Members, technocrats and all stakeholders to come up with a common sense approach to ensure that these challenges are alleviated and that the Municipality moves from strength to strength just as the impressive work our Regional Minister is doing in the Region under the ‘Make Greater Accra Work’ maxim.
Hon. Mann becomes the fourth MCE Chief Executive for the Municipality and the second woman to hold the position after Hon. Kofi Allotey, Hon. John Kwao Sackey and Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah.
