The King was accompanied by a delegation including the Asafoatse, Queen Mothers, Niimei and Naamei and other prominent members of the Ga traditional council.

The King said: “Our love, our world is gone, but there is hope that you have not passed for nothing, but that you still live in the memories of our hearts”, Rest In Peace our love, Rest In Peace our lady”.

However, the Chief of Adjen Kotoko, Nii Amoah Tackie VII, described the late Queen Mother as a loving and caring woman who placed children in her heart.

He said she helped a lot of children to achieve their own ambitions for the betterment of society and the late Queen Mother was not only a mother for the Abola state but also the whole Ga state

The family of the late Abola Manye highlighted the activities and funeral arrangements for their beloved Queen Mother.

Per their arrangements, the Queen will be laid in state on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Ga Traditional Council in Accra, the burial ceremony would be held on November 2, at the Ga Traditional Council, while the thanksgiving service will be held on November 3, at the All Saints Anglican Church, Adabraka.

Naa Anorkor Okaitso III was enstooled in 1991 and served until her peaceful passing in 2024 at the age of 86. She was a key figure in Ga State leadership, continuing the proud lineage of her forebears. A great-granddaughter of Naa Okaitso I (Klu Nye) and niece of Queen Mother Naa OkaitsoII.

She played a significant role in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Ga people. Throughout her 33-year reign, she was a pillar of strength and dignity, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity.

Her contributions to both the Abola Traditional Area and the Ga State were extensive, notably in youth development, volunteerism, and cultural advocacy.

She was a devout Christian, actively involved in the All Saints Anglican Church, Adabraka, and was recognized for her leadership within the church and beyond.

Naa Okaitso III’s dedication and service earned her numerous awards both in Ghana and abroad.
