GCB, ETI emerge decliners on stock exchange for Thursday

In aggregate, fourteen (14) equities participated in trading on Thursday, April 28, 2022, ending with two decliners namely GCB Bank PLC. (GCB) as it lost GH¢ 0.02 to  close at GH¢ 5.10 representing a YTD loss of 2.67% and Ecobank Transnational Inc. (ETI) as it lost GH¢ 0.01 to close at GH¢ 0.19 representing a YTD gain of 35.7%.

Market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢63.82 billion, a reduction from the GH¢ 64.06 billion recorded at the end of trading on Wednesday, April 27.

A total of 83,522,787 shares valued at GH¢ 85,298,723.9 was traded on Thursday with Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) recording the largest share of  trades per value as it accounted for 96.94%of the total value traded. MTNGH

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) declined by 7.69 points  on the day to close at 2,691.19 representing a YTD return of 3.52%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also lost 13.97 points to close at  2,209.70representing a YTD return of 2.69%.
