The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for demonstrating strong leadership and fostering unity within the party by inviting his former competitors to join him on the NPP’s Thank You Tour.

Dr. Bawumia, the party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, extended the invitation to his former flagbearer contenders during an address to party supporters in Accra on April 23, ahead of the nationwide tour.

Speaking on Sunday, April 27, during a stop in Takoradi, Mr. Kodua highlighted that Dr. Bawumia’s inclusive approach reflects his commitment to promoting cohesion within the party, which he said is crucial as the NPP prepares for the 2024 general elections.

“It is the unifying character of Dr Bawumia that has made it possible for him to invite all those he contested against to be part of this important tour. The NPP must work together, and Dr Bawumia is leading by example,” he emphasised.

He stressed that fostering togetherness is essential for rebuilding the party’s strength and achieving victory, adding that Dr. Bawumia’s actions show that the party’s interest is above personal ambitions.

Mr. Kodua further urged all party members to rally behind Dr. Bawumia to secure success in the upcoming elections, calling on the grassroots and stakeholders to be inspired by the unity demonstrated by the party’s leadership.

“This is the spirit we need to move forward. Unity is our strength, and with it, the NPP will be unstoppable,” he stated.
