The 2024-25 Ghana Premier League title race has heated up, with four teams vying for the top prize. Nations FC extended their advantage at the top of the standings after beating Samartex FC 3-0 at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Goals from Emmanuel Annor, Faisal Charwetey and Kelvin Ampoful were enough for Nations FC to get all three points as they inch closer to their first league title.

Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars, who are also in contention for the title, were involved in an intense goalless draw game at Duns Park.

With the draw, Gold Stars stay second with 57 points, three points adrift of leaders Nations FC(60 points), while Kotoko is five points behind.

Vision FC secured their Premier League status for next season after beating Karela United 1-0 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Edward Agyemang’s first-half goal was enough for the home side as they secured all three points and are now seven points clear of the drop with two matches to go.

Young Apostles boosted their survival chances with an emphatic 3-1 victory against the title hopefuls Hearts of Lions at the Wenchi Sports Complex.

Samuel Prempeh, Foster Sakitey and Hussein Issah were on target for the home side, while Seedorf Asante’s goal for Heart of Lions was only a consolation.

Accra Hearts of Oak recorded an emphatic 3-1 victory against Accra Lions in a week 32 encounter played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Enoch Asubonteng, Kwesi Asamah, and Hamza Issah scored for the Phobians, while Lawrence Norkoplim’s stunning goal could only serve as consolation for the Accra Lions.
