A group known as ‘Time for Bryan’ has declared its support for Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for the Abetifi constituency, as the ideal running mate for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The group comprises hundreds of traders in the Eastern Region who make up the core of major trading groups in the area
The group, which has many NPP sympathizers, believes that Acheampong is the best person to partner with Bawumia to ensure the NPP retains power in the 2024 election.
Party supporters and the group agree that Acheampong and Bawumia would form a strong team capable of ‘Breaking the 8’ and steering the country towards a more prosperous future.
The recent success of the NPP’s presidential primary highlights the importance of selecting a suitable running mate for Bawumia to ensure a successful outcome against the NDC.
Supporters believe that Bryan’s loyalty to the party and his hands-on approach to public service make him the ideal candidate to lead the NPP to victory.
Group leader, Adwoa Saah, speaking to the media, emphasized that Acheampong’s people-centered governance style, accessibility to constituents, and dedication to addressing their concerns are unparalleled qualities that set him apart.
“We are confident he would be the ideal person to join hands with Dr. Bawumia to achieve the aspirations of Ghanaians,” she noted.
“Most of the NPP grassroots are calling for Hon. Bryan Acheampong to be Bawumia’s running mate due to his firm, transparent, and honest way of dealing with issues; for this reason, we are solidly supporting him,” she added.
Some constituents also pointed out that Hon. Acheampong’s grasp of national security aligns seamlessly with Bawumia’s knowledge of fiscal policy.
They argued that this synergy creates a well-rounded team equipped to navigate the nation’s current challenges.
