The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) further extended its flat trend as it did not recorded any change closing at the same mark as it opened at 2,543.22 points representing a YTD return of -8.82%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also maintained its value to close trading at 2,171.56 points translating into a YTD return of 0.92%.
Seven (7) equities traded, ending with no gainer nor decliner, hence GSE market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢ 62.06 billion.
In all, total of 122,961 shares valued at GH¢302,209.40 was traded on the day. Compared with the previous GSE trading day (Wednesday, June 15), Thursday’s data shows a 417.97% improvement in volume traded and 1,260.45% improvement in trade turnover.
Benso Oil Palm Plantation PLC. (BOPP) accounted for 61.18% of the total value traded whilst Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) recorded the largest volumes traded.
