Madam Harriet Thompson, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, has wished Ghanaians the best in the December 7 general election.
She also called on Ghanaians to ensure that the December 7 general election was peaceful, fair and credible.
She said her engagement with the electoral management body (the Electoral Commission) had given her the confidence that everything was set for the December 7 polls.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency on the sidelines of the Coalition of Domestic Elections Observers (CODEO) Eve of Election Press Conference and the launch of National Information Centre (NIC) for the 2024 Elections, Madam Thompson appealed to Ghanaians to go out and exercise their democratic rights to vote on December 7.
“It is important for you to have your say, so go out and do that with democratic goal in your heart” she stated.
She urged political actors, who signed the Peace Accord on November 28, to ensure that Ghana’s December 7 general election was peaceful.
Madam Thompson, who formally commissioned the CODEO’s NIC, commended CODEO for the initiative.
