The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the party’s polling station executives and grassroots supporters, describing them as the NPP’s most valuable assets.
Speaking during the party’s Thank You Tour in Takoradi on Saturday, 26 April, Dr. Bawumia lauded the tireless efforts of the party’s rank and file, crediting their dedication for sustaining the party’s strength across the country.
“Our polling station executives and grassroots are our greatest assets, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart,” he stated.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the NPP’s victories and achievements over the years are largely the result of the unwavering commitment and sacrifices of these individuals at the local level. He stressed that their loyalty and hard work form the solid foundation upon which the party’s successes have been built.
Highlighting the critical role of grassroots supporters, the former Vice President (2017–2025) noted that no political party can achieve its goals without a strong base.
“It is the grassroots that defend the party in every community, market, and household,” he said, urging polling station executives and supporters to remain resolute as the party gears up for the crucial 2024 general elections.
Dr. Bawumia concluded by reaffirming his commitment to maintaining strong engagement with the party’s grassroots and pledged continued support for their efforts.
