A former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko has blown the cover over a supposed frosty relationship between himself and president Nana Akufo-Addo.
He says he has lost trust in the president after over four decades of friendship.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen’ Show today the former Energy Minister insisted that he has not been talking with President Akufo-Addo.
Mr.Boakye Agyarko stated “I am not in talking terms with President Akuffo Addo. I trust him no more after 47 years of friendship.’
The NPP stalwart who still appears hurt by his early dismissal from the Akufo-Addo government disclosed :“Bediatuo signed the executive approval for the Ameri Novation Agreement but I won’t go further. The time is coming.”
President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2018 sacked Mr Boakye Agyarko as Minister of Energy over the controversies surrounding the review of the Ameri power deal.
A press statement signed and issued by Mr Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency on Monday evening, August 6, said President Akufo-Addo by a letter dated August 6, 2018, “relieved the Minister of Energy, Mr Boakye Agyarko, of his position, with immediate effect.”
President Akufo-Addo asked Mr Boakye Agyarko to hand over his office to the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Mr John Peter Amewu, who will act temporarily as Minister of Energy, until a substantive appointment is made,” the statement said.”
The President wishes Mr Boakye Agyarko well in his future endeavours,” the statement added.
