Actress Nana Ama McBrown,  has cleared the air on the situation surrounding her popular cooking show, ‘McBrown’s Kitchen’.

McBrown made her big media move to Onua TV and Onua FM, both under the Onua Group of Media General in March, after her exit from United Television (UTV) months prior.

However,  her show, ‘McBrown’s Kitchen’ which has been a staple on UTV for several years, continued to air on the channel.

Fans noticed, however, on Sunday, April 23 that it was not aired, sparking rumours and speculation.

Nana Ama McBrown addressed the situation when she appeared on TV3‘s New Day Friday morning.https://3news.com/nana-ama-mcbrown-is-the-empress-of-style-at-her-media-general-outdooring/

She stated that she had other plans for the show eventhough Despite Media Group has pulled the plugs on it.

“You know I used to work with UTV before my United Showbiz there, it’s my production. [Berla] I want to move forward.”

She went on to explain that the show was arguably the biggest in Ghana and she was not perturbed by the ongoing brouhaha.

“McBrown’s Kitchen has the life when it comes to cooking shows in Ghana and it’s not dying. I am at a place that I’ve been welcomed. Why do I have to cry if my show is not shown?” she quizzed.

Responding to host Berla Mundi over whether she was going to bring the show to Media General, the award-winning actress said she wanted to do the right thing with all parties, hence she was doing due diligence.

“I want to do the right thing. I pay for my show at UTV. It’s not free. They consider me too sometimes when I’m not well. They do some repetitions for me [and] that’s the bond. You have people you work with but automatically there’s a contract where I pay,” she revealed.https://mypublisher24.com/nana-ama-mcbrown-cited-for-contempt-3-others-fined-5k/

She also went on to thank the UTV family for their support but reiterated that she was building her brand separately from her personal life, hence she was keen on differentiating the two.

Nana Ama McBrown’s show finally airs on Onua TV

“If the owner or producers don’t want to give me their airtime again, it’s fine. I don’t know the problem as at now. I have reached out and we are trying to solve it. UTV is my home, they’re family. When it comes to work I am different. I have a brand I’m managing. I am for everybody,” she pointed out.

Her latest show, ‘ONUA Showtime with McBrown’ premieres on Sunday, April 30 at 7pm.
