Election 2024: Don’t be swayed by money, vote for policies – Asiedu Nketiah

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has called on party members in Afrancho-Akomadan, Offinso North Constituency, in the Ashanti Region, to prioritise policies and long-term vision over financial incentives from the opposition when voting.

He highlighted that accepting money in exchange for votes compromises the potential for meaningful development, warning that such short-term choices could hinder the community’s progress.

Speaking on the first day of the NDC’s Retail Campaign in the Ashanti Region on Monday, November 4, Asiedu Nketiah urged voters to back candidates who are committed to sustainable growth and effective governance for the benefit of the constituency.

“We will equally share monies and goodies if that is what you want instead of using that for developmental projects. How will there be development? They have enough to spend on and yet, use the meagre to get you to vote for them.

“Anyone who cannot see the development projects the NDC has brought to the Ashanti region must be overlooking them. Everyone benefits from our projects. If the other party shares monies based on status without any development in our communities, and yet you vote for them, we’ll also do the same.”
