The Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Joycelyn Tetteh on Monday morning visited the three Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres in her constituency and presented some necessary logistics to the candidates.
She gave each pupil GH¢10 for the day’s feeding and GH¢100 each for the invigilators for the week.
Hon Joycelyn Tetteh encouraged the pupils to put up their best performance to pass their exams, and she will on her part, provide mattresses, chop boxes, groceries, books, and all other items for those who will pass their exams and get admission into the various Senior High Schools.
Last year, Hon Joycelyn provided for all BECE Candidates in her constituency who passed their exams and got admissions into the various SHS items of needs as mentioned above.
This kind gesture has motivated the pupils to perform better this time so they can also get the support.
This year’s BECE started today, Monday, 7th August, 2023.
A total of 837 candidates are sitting for the Exams in the District with 37 invigilators and one district exams coordinator for three centres namely; Vastech, Vasec and Anfoesec.
Hon Joycelyn was thankful to the teachers for their resolve to help take educational performance of the district high by preparing the pupils for the exams.
She pleaded with the invigilators to be firm but not harsh on the children in order not to dim their spirits and confidence.
Per her annual routine during such national examinations, Hon Joycelyn Tetteh is consistently taking education high in the North Dayi Constituency.
