The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong has taken a swipe at Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia over the economic woes of Ghana.

According to Mr. Agyapong, Dr. Bawumia instead of helping to fix the problem has rather been giving ‘economic theories’.

In a leaked audio recording that has since gone viral on social media, the Assin Central NPP legislator is heard amidst applause chiding the Vice president of being bullied by the Finance Minister.

In the view of the fire brand NPP MP, Dr. Bawumia who is also the Member of the Economic Management Team has squandered opportunities given him.

“If i am a vice president how can a finance minister bully me? Now you come back and tell us you have not been given opportunity. What kind of opportunity?

What else do you want us to give you to prove that you are effective? I am telling you the gospel truth so that you will not make any mistakes” he said.

The Assin Central MP admitted that the government is reeling under the harsh economic times.

“The way the government is suffering from this economy,  if we do not change the face that has been giving us economic theories… ”  he noted.

Mr Agyapong disclosed that he has lost much capital because of the depreciation of the Cedi.
