Mr. Kennedy Adjapong, Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central has urged supporters and sympathisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Assin North and Central constituencies to ensure the party was retained in power to continue its impactful social interventions for the country.

He made the call when he joined Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, running mate of the Presidential Candidate of the NPP to tour the two Constituencies.

He said some interventions by the party included the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), the flagship Free Senior High School (FSHS), and Digitisation programmes, which had impacted and changed the lives of many Ghanaians.

According to Mr Adjapong,  the introduction of the FSHS had been a great relief for him in his constituency as long queues in his house for payment of school fees had stopped.

He pointed out that the policy had erased the cost of tuition, textbooks, feeding and other fees and increased enrolment, provided equity and improve the overall quality of education in the country.

He said the NHIS also replaced the cash and carry system which had some consequential effects on the less privileged, giving relief to many people to access health care.

On his part, Dr Opoku-Prempeh told the electorates to reject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and maintain the NPP to break the eight as NDC had nothing under their sleeves to offer Ghanaians.

He reiterated that NPP had better policies than their opponent that would propel the country to a different level.

He admonished them to vote massively for the NPP for more development.

Mr Godfred Nti Anewu Parliamentary candidate of the Assin Central Constituency appealed to all to vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for President and himself as the next Member of Parliament (MP) to ensure continuation of development in the constituency.

He called for unity in the party and admonished them to avoid petty squabbles that had the tendency of making the party unpopular.
