KGL Foundation signs two-year sponsorship deal with Karela United FC

KGL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the KGL Group, has signed a two-year agreement as the primary sponsor of premier league, side Karela United Football Club.

The marriage, geared towards supporting the overall management and operations of the club also formed part of the Foundation’s continuous commitment to youth empowerment and sports development.

Mr. Elliot Dadey, CEO of the KGL Foundation speaking at the short ceremony highlighted the importance of investing in football as a vehicle for positive change.

“We believe in the power of sports as a unifying force and a platform for nurturing young talent. Karela United FC has demonstrated immense potential in developing football in Ghana, and we are excited to be part of their journey.”

He said the sponsorship was not just about football but had focus on creating opportunities for the youth and fostering community development.

The Chief Executive Officer expressed heartfelt appreciation to management of Karela United for their commitment and hard work in making the partnership possible.

Dr Adams Baba, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Karela United FC lauded the Foundation for its vision and prompt intervention.

“This partnership is a game-changer for us. The support from KGL Foundation will go a long way in helping us achieve our long-term goals, both on and off the pitch.

It is not just about football; it is about building a legacy that affects the youth and communities connected to the club”.

He thanked the Foundation for coming onboard to support the premier league side at a time they needed the most.

With the backing of the KGL Foundation, the Aiyinase based side is poised to soar to greater heights and continue to inspire young Ghanaians to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.

The sponsorship will cover key aspects of the club’s management, including technical development, infrastructure, and operational support, enabling the team to focus on excelling in their league campaign.

It also aligns with the KGL Foundation’s thematic focus areas of health, sports, youth empowerment, and community development.

Beyond the financial backing, the partnership will explore initiatives that will use football as a platform for promoting mental health awareness, youth mentorship, and community engagement.

The announcement has been met with enthusiasm by fans and stakeholders alike, as it is a new chapter in Karela United FC’s journey to becoming a powerhouse in Ghanaian football.
