The late Akua Donkor, founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party; and advocate for social justice and equality inspired countless Ghanaians.

In Krachi East, where Akua Donkor’s impact was deeply felt, residents’ area recounting her iconic phrase”3ny3 no no” and her unwavering commitment to empowering women and marginalized communities.

Mr. Nathaniel Kwesi Owusu, a resident of Pai-Katanga, who spoke with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) about her demise said, her legacy extends beyond politics.

He said the late Akua Donkor worked tirelessly to improve education, agriculture, healthcare and infrastructure in the country.

Mr. Seth Kumah, a resident of KpareKpare, praised Akua Donkor’s significant contributions to agriculture and Ghana politics, particularly her active participation in Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meetings.

He told GNA that the late Akua Donkor’s recent IPAC meeting was quite eventful, especially when someone brought up the Electoral Commission’s (EC) disqualification of Mr. Bernard Mornah, the People’s National Convention (PNC) candidate.

Mr. Kumah said, the fearless political legend threatened to drag Mr John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate to court over derogatory comments made about her qualification as a presidential candidate during the same IPAC meeting.

“This shows that Akua Donkor was not one to back down from a fight and she was determined to make her voice heard,” Mr Kumah added.

Some others recounted her achievements, which includes, empowering women to take charge and demand change, paving the way for future generations of female leaders.

Political awareness, her activism increased political participation in Ghana, encouraged citizens to engage with the democratic dispensation.

“We stand with the family in this difficult time, may Akua Donkor’s legacy of courage and resilience continue to inspire us all.”

“Akua Donkor’s passing leaves a void, but her ‘3ny3 No No’ spirit will live on in our hearts, our thoughts are with her family,” Madame Alice Azumah, a resident of Dambai New Junction.
