Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu says he is not ready to campaign for any political party ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to him, before he breaks his vow to pick a party colour, the party must offer him a good deal of not less than $1 billion.
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, he stated that he knows no party would be ready to make such a huge payment to one person over an election and as such, he gets to stay out of politics.
Kwaku Manu noted that although he votes in every election, he believes that, as an actor and public figure, it is better to not disclose his political affiliation or the party he votes for.
“I am not bragging, but no amount of money can influence me to campaign for any political party, whether NPP or NDC. Unless they are willing to pay me over $1 billion, which I know they wouldn’t.”
“I vote every four years but I believe as a celebrity, it is good not to disclose the political party you support,” the actor said.
Kweku Manu and his lovely wife, Okailey, recently dominated news headlines when he tied the knot some 14 years ago, saying it was his dream that they would stay together ‘till death do them part’.
His dream was, however, shattered two years ago when their marriage took a nosedive and he and his wife had to go their separate ways, although he believes they did everything to make it work.
This is the reason why the comic actor believes there is no formula for a successful marriage.
