The Majority Group in Parliament has rebuffed social media allegations that it leaked medical and travel records of Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban S.K. Bagbin to the public.
According to the Majority, it has no interest in such irresponsible act and condemned the said publication as unfortunate and unwarranted.
“However, if the persons behind the publications intend to set the Speaker and the Majority Caucus in the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana on a collision course, we would not hesitate to offer the appropriate response,” a statement issued by the Majority on Thursday said.
The side clarified that Majority leader Osei Kyei-Mensa-Bonsu has not taken any funds from Parliament to seek or receive medical attention in Dubai.
The side argued there is no scintilla of truth in such allegation and should therefore be disregarded.
