According to the organizers, the Overall Best Coach at the end of the season, as well as the Best Player in both the Southern and Northern Divisions would receive GH₵10,000 each.

The three-year marriage, birthed in 2022, had made great strides in elevating women’s football across all regions.

Madam Dinah Asabea Darko, Marketing Manager of Malta Guinness speaking at the launch of the 2024/25 season said she was pleased with the growth of women’s football since coming onboard as headline sponsors.

“Our hope is in the commitment and passion of the women, because we know that with this, every investment that we are making will be fruitful”, she noted.

She said Malta Guinness, in its quest to recognize and reward the hard work and commitment of players and coaches had reintroduced the monthly giveaways and the end of season special awards.

The Marketing Manager congratulated Hasaacas Ladies who emerged as winners of the 2023/24 season.

Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah, Women’s Football Representative on the GFA Executive Council highlighted the significant investment made in the development of the women’s game with support from Malta Guinness.

She also revealed that the GFA had trained more women coaches than any other African country over the past three years.

“Each of the 20 clubs will receive 30 pairs of football boots, 30 footballs, and appearance fees of GH₵65,000 for Northern Zone clubs and GH₵60,000 for Southern Zone clubs,” she said.

The Executive Council Member pledged support for referees who would be officiating ahead of the new season while adding that extensive media coverage would be witnessed in both the southern and northern divisions.

The 2024/25 league season would commence on the weekend of October 18 to 21, 2024 with 20 clubs competing across the Southern and Northern zones.
