The Ministry of Youth and Sports, has supported Sekondi-based club, Hasaacas Ladies FC with a sum of $10,000 as the team prepares for the maiden edition of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Cote D’ Ivoire. Coach Yussif Basigi who received the donation expressed appreciation to the Ministry for supporting the team.
Hasaacas Ladies, winners of the Women’s Premier League and Women’s FA Cup this season is Ghana’s sole representative in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
To book a ticket to the final tourney in Egypt, Hassacas Ladies would battle it out with Rivers Angels FC in Nigeria, and AS Police de Niamey in Niger in Group B of the WAFU Zone B tourney championship in Ivory Coast this month.
The team would leave the shores of Ghana later in the month to honor the competition.
