These are executives from two branches in the constituency who were not sworn in after the party’s branch elections. As a result, they were also not added to the constituency’s delegates list – leaving them out of Saturday’s primaries.

They sued the party early this month, after writing several petitions to the constituency executives, the regional party and the national party hoping to be sworn in.

Earlier, there was a clash involving some officials of the Ghana Police Service and some delegates.

The police have beefed up secured with heavily armed police deployed to the poling station.

As at the time of filing this report, the police according to reports was mediating the matter between Mr. George and Tetteh.

as at the time of the incident 1,512 people had cast their vote.

Some delegates clashed with police over the inability of a delegate to vote. Michael Tetteh who is contesting Sam George, the incumbent member of Parliament said the delegates must be allowed to vote because he has a court order to that effect.

The delegates said their names were not in the Ningo Prampram register.https://citinewsroom.com/2023/05/ndcs-eastern-regional-youth-organizer-detained-after-fight-at-voting-centre/

Earlier, Sam George was booed by supporters at the polling centre. it is unclear what could have caused the voters to boo at him.
