Fellow comrades at the National Democratic Congress’ primaries at Ejura Sekyere Odumase were excited after one of the aspirants showered money on them at the voting grounds on Saturday.

Juliana Kinang Wassan was shown in viral video standing in a car showering cash on the people who flung her at the Ahmadiya School park in the Ejura Sekyere Odumase constituency where voting was ongoing.

According to JoyNews correspondent Nana Boaye Yiadom, there was a mad rush for the money which ranges from GH¢10 notes to GH¢100 notes.

She told the reporter that she realised she had the money in her car and decided to show love to her fellow NDC members by sharing the cash.

Madam Juliana is contesting against the current MP Muhammad Bawah Braimah to run for MP on the ticket of the NDC in the 2024 elections.

Meanwhile, the process has been marked by valence in some constituencies.

in Kumasi, supporters of Muntaka Mubarak and his contender, Masawudu Mubarick got into a scuffle that was swiftly curtailed by personnel of the Ghana Police Service.

The intervention of the police officers prevented the confusion from escalating.

Supporters of Muntaka alleged that some supporters of Masawudu Mubarick booed at the incumbent Asawase MP who was leaving the centre after casting his ballot.
