The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) made the decision on Tuesday, the 25th of April, 2023.

This is contained in a statement signed by Deputy General Secretary (Finance & Admin), Barbra Serwaa Asamoah on behalf of the General Secretary.

According to the statement, this is to allow a smooth exercise for the Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries of the Party across the length and breadth of the country.

The NDC will hold its presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023, to elect a flagbearer and parliamentary candidates for the 2024 elections.

Per the timetable outlined by the party, interested individuals were allowed to pick up nomination forms from the party’s website or its headquarters last month.

So far, four persons have picked up forms for the presidential primaries.

Over 800 individuals, on the other hand, picked up nomination forms to contest for various parliamentary seats across the country.
