The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it is unaware of any fresh injunction application against the presidential and parliamentary polls.

A member of the party, Edgar Asamoah Boateng is reportedly in the Court to block Saturday polls from going on.

He claims the lack of adequate photo album of qualified voters has caused significant animosity and hostility within the party.

His lawyers are praying the court for “an order of interlocutory injunction to restrain the Defendants/Respondents, its officers or agents or otherwise howsoever from holding the primary elections for the Nomination of Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates of the National Democratic Congress Party on 13 May 2023 pending the determination of the suit herein as per grounds deposed to in the accompanying affidavit and for any further orders the Honourable Court may deem fit.

However, NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia at a press conference on Friday 12th May says the party is unaware of this fresh injunction.

He said, “We haven’t heard of any latest injunction, all we heard was someone in Abuakwa South complaining about an issue and he met his lawyers, that is all. ”

This comes just a few hours after flagbearer aspirant of the NDC Dr Kwabena Duffior withdrew his injunction application from court.
