The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has affirmed 28th of April to May 2nd as dates for the Constituency Annual Delegates Conferences.

This follows speculation the upcoming Statutory Holidays of May Day and Eid-Ul-Fitr could impact the days scheduled for the conferences and disrupt the elections.

A statement by General-Secretary of the party, John Boadu, charged the duly constituted Constituency Elections Committees to determine appropriate days within the given period to conduct the Conferences and hold the elections under the supervision of the Electoral Commission and in accordance with the Party’s Rules and Regulations.

According to him, the dates of 28th April to 2nd May, 2022, was made by the Party’s National Steering Committee at an emergency meeting held on Sunday, 24th April, 2022, pursuant to Article 10 (10)(1) of the NPP Constitution.

The governing NPP announced the decision of the Party’s National Executive Committee in a Press Release, dated 13th of April, 2022, to hold the Party’s 2022 Constituency Annual Delegates Conference between 28th April and 2nd May, 2022.
