Ahead of the national delegates’ conference at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra in July, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr John Boadu has warned members of the party to desist from actions that damage the reputation of the governing party.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday April 13, he indicated that all valid concerns that have been raised by members of the party are being looked at.

“You will recall that I inaugurated an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) committee on the 25th of March 2022. The committee has been busy and is making good headway. So, we can assure the public and all our members that valid concerns are being reviewed and dealt with.

“However, I must caution that matters of criminal nature especially acting deliberately and maliciously aimed at destroying party property and thereby damaging the reputation of the party will not be condoned,” he said.

The NPP is scheduled to open nominations for aspirants for constituency positions on Tuesday, April 19 across the country.

This will take two days before a vetting session is held on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22.

There will be room for appeals before the constituency elections come off between Friday, April 28 and Sunday, May 1.

From there, the party, as per its schedule, will move to regional polls with the elections scheduled for May 27-29.

Nominations for regional executive aspirants will open on Sunday, May 15.

All these are geared towards the national executive elections, scheduled to be held on July 14-16 in Accra.
