Supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Adansi-Asokwa in the Ashanti Region abandoned the party’s mini-rally midweek to scramble for Alan’s T-shirts, which they wore on top of the NPP shirt.

The supporters left the rally when they set eyes on the presidential candidate for Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.

They mobbed him and demanded his T-shirts.

The political parties have intensified campaigns across the country, especially in the Ashanti Region as the December 7 election draws closer.

The door-to-door and community engagement strategies have currently been adopted by the parties.

These NPP supporters could not hide their excitement at the sight of the former Trade Minister and fawned over him.

“I am a supporter of the NPP but I’m voting for Alan for his contribution to the party”, Osei Nsiah said.

Agnes Agyemang also indicated that “some of us are likely going to vote skirt and blouse in this election. We need to reward Alan for his service to the party”.

Alan, a former member of the NPP resigned to contest as an independent candidate after claims of unfair treatment meted out to him by the NPP leadership.

The Movement for Change founder and leader together with his team are touring 350 communities in 47 constituencies in the Ashanti Region to campaign and canvass for more votes.

At Fomena, Alan and his team also received a rousing welcome from residents and the traders, assuring him of their support.
