The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a warning regarding the fraudulent activities of an imposter named Innocent Paintsil, who has been deceiving unsuspecting individuals by claiming to work at the NPP headquarters.

This imposter, the party said, operates by using the phone number 0531809798 and falsely presents himself as a staff member assigned to register party members in need of financial assistance. He then proceeds to collect varying amounts of money from these individuals under the guise of registration fees.

A statement from the Office of the National Treasurer said the NPP has promptly reported this individual to the appropriate authorities, urging swift action to be taken against him.

In the meantime, the party urges the general public to remain vigilant and not fall prey to this fraudulent scheme.

“It is advised to refrain from engaging in any form of communication with Innocent Paintsil or any other individuals or groups claiming to conduct registration processes for the disbursement of funds to party members.”

“We take these fraudulent activities seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety and trust of our party members and the general public. We urge everyone to exercise caution and report any suspicious activities to the authorities,” the Office said.

The party emphasized that legitimate financial assistance programs and registrations are always conducted through official channels and with clear guidelines provided by the party.

It called on the public, especially NPP followers to spread awareness of this impersonation scam and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the authorities to prevent further harm to innocent individuals seeking legitimate assistance from the party.
