National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Stephen Ayesu Ntim has made it clear the ruling party will never support the activities of the LGBTQ+ community in Ghana, under any circumstances.
During a thanksgiving service held at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in Atomic, Accra, to mark the first anniversary of the National Executives in office, Chairman Ntim emphasized that endorsing such acts would go against the commandments of the Almighty God.
“I want to state emphatically, without any fear of equivocation, that the New Patriotic Party that I chair will never support LGBTQ+.
“The good Lord God wants us to populate this earth that He has entrusted to our care.”
“How can we fulfil that divine commandment if we resort to LGBTQ+ practices? This is a question we must ask ourselves, and the answer is clear: we cannot,” Chairman Ntim asserted.
His remarks demonstrate the party’s strong stance against LGBTQ+ issues, firmly rooted in their religious beliefs and commitment to traditional values.
The NPP National Chairman’s statement aligns with the broader sentiment among party members and underscores their unwavering position on LGBTQ+ matters in Ghana.
