The office of the Ho Central Member of Parliament, Mr Edem Kpotosu, has been inaugurated to serve as a channel between the MP and the constituents.
The office would provide services aimed at making the administration more efficient and responsive including assisting with documentation, facilitating access to social services and providing updates on legislative matters.
Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, in a speech read on his behalf by Togbe Ayim Adzokoto II, Paramount Chief of Takla Traditional Area, commended the MP for his vision and foresight in establishing the facility,
He said the edifice reflected the unwavering dedication of the MP to ensuring that the needs of the people remained at the heart of governance.
Togbe reminded the MP that leadership was a service, and that the inauguration of the office marked a significant milestone not only in his career but also a step towards the progress of the Ho Central Constituency.
He urged the MP to ensure that his tenure epitomised an effort to serve and uplift the lives of the people as he was aware of the needs and aspirations of the people when he toured the constituency during his campaign.
The Agbogbomefia said an MP was supposed to be a driver of development, thus the office served as a medium of collating views and feedbacks in order to be well informed on things that were readily deserving.
The Chief said the office should serve as a bridge between the MP and the constituents, ensuring that concerns, ideas and aspirations were heard, addressed and translated into meaningful development.
The office should also foster an environment of collaboration, transparency and efficiency, further strengthening the bond between the electorates and their representative, Togbe said.
Togbe Afede urged the constituents to cherish the office and utilise it to the betterment of their communities, and should support the MP in the discharge of this duties.
Mr Edem Kpotosu, Member of Parliament, described the inauguration as significant as it marked a milestone in their continuous effort to enhance effective administration and bridge the gap between the constituents and their MP.
He expressed gratitude to the people for the trust bestowed on him and the confidence reposed in him.
The MP said it was the strong sense of collective responsibility of the people that defined the Ho Central and that their unwavering support and active participation would drive their shared vision for a prosperous and well governed constituency.
Mr Kpotosu said they had the power to create a brighter future for the constituency and that he was excited to collaborate with the people, listen to their concerns and bring a meaningful change that would benefit all.
“Your voices will always be at the forefront of my efforts and I am committed to making our constituency a place of unity and opportunity.”
Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister urged the people to accept whosoever President John Dramani Mahama will appoint as the Mayor for the area.
