The Okaikwei Central branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) organized an Islamic thanksgiving service to express gratitude to the Almighty Allah for the party’s triumphant parliamentary primary.
The event, held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at New Fadama was graced by esteemed guests, including the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and the National Chief Imam of ASWAJ, Sheik Hajj Umar Imam Umar among many others.
During the event, the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Baba Sadiq, conveyed his appreciation to the constituents for their overwhelming support in the successful primary.
He expressed gratitude for being entrusted with the mandate to lead the Okaikwei Central NDC to victory in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Baba Sadiq reassured everyone of his unwavering commitment to wrestle and win the Okaikwei Central Parliamentary seat for the NDC.
Alhaji Naziru, the National Zongo Caucus Communication Officer, made an appeal to the youth, urging them to leave behind the practice of “skirt and blouse” voting and instead cast their votes for H.E. John D Mahama and Baba Sadiq.
He emphasized the importance of unity within the party and encouraged the community to rally behind the NDC’s presidential and parliamentary candidates.
In his closing remarks, Chief Ridwan Abass, the Chief of Fadama, pleaded with the community to embrace Baba Sadiq as one of their own and ensure his victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
He stressed the significance of electing a representative who understands the needs and aspirations of the Okaikwei Central constituency.
To demonstrate their support for Baba Sadiq and the Okaikwei Central NDC, Members of Parliament for Adenta, Adamu Mohammed Ramadan; Okaikwei North, Theresa Lardi Awuni, and Yussif Jajah of Ayawaso North graced the occasion.
In a related development, a Christian Interdenominational thanksgiving service has been scheduled for Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the Apenkwa Astroturf, starting at 3 pm.
Renowned gospel artists such as Nacee, Ohemaa Mercy, and Perez Musik are set to minister on this auspicious day.
These thanksgiving services unite supporters and well-wishers to express gratitude for the successful primary and seek divine blessings for the future.
