The Independent Parliamentary Candidate hopeful in the Madina Constituency in Accra, Prince Moses Zakaria, has rescinded his decision to contest the seat.

The decision he said in a statement has become necessary “after careful consideration and reflection and principally to make room for party cohesion and for the greater good of the NDC, which must override any individual’s interest.”

RESCINDING INDEPENDENT PARLIAMENTARY BID IN MADINA
After careful consideration and reflection, I announce my decision to step down as an
independent parliamentary candidate hopeful in the upcoming December 7 election.

This decision has not been made lightly, thus, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the
supporters, volunteers, and contributors who have been instrumental in this campaign.

Your dedication and commitment have been inspiring, and I am truly thankful for the
enthusiasm and energy you have brought to this endeavour.

However, as I assess the current political landscape and the evolving needs of the Madina
Constituency, I believe that stepping aside is in the best interest of both the campaign and the
constituents we aim to serve.

As an ardent subscriber to the principles and values of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),
I will assiduously contribute my quota to returning H.E. John Dramani Mahama to the
presidency to salvage Ghana from the rot which has been perpetuated by the AkuffoAddo/Bawumia NPP regime and also retain the Madina parliamentary seat for the NDC.

My stepping down is principally to make room for party cohesion and for the greater good of
the NDC, which must override any individual’s interest.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your support
has meant the world to me, and I am confident that our shared commitment to progress will
endure beyond this campaign.

I will continue to be actively engaged in community initiatives and causes that align with our
shared vision for a better future.

Together, we can make a lasting impact and contribute to the betterment of Madina in
particular and Ghana as a whole.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support.Prince Moses ZAKARIA
