Ghanaian Graduates Shine at Philippine Christian University

The Philippine Christian University, Manila has celebrated a momentous occasion as it marked its 82nd commencement exercise at the prestigious Philippine International Conference Center (PICC).

The event witnessed the graduation of over 4000 students, each one stepping into a new chapter of their lives.

Among the remarkable graduates were a group of accomplished Ghanaians who achieved various degrees, bringing pride not only to their homeland but also to the international academic community.

Distinguished among the graduates were:

Dr. Abraham Donkor – Awarded a Ph.D. in International Healthcare System; Dr. Richard Osei Amaniampong – Conferred with a Ph.D. in International Healthcare System; Dr. Jeanette Owusu – Earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management.

The rest are: Dr. Eric Agyeinim Boateng – Obtained a Ph.D. in International Accountancy; Dr. Solomon Nyantakyi – Granted a Ph.D. in Strategic Manageme and ntDr. Adelaide Furgoson – Achieved an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.

The graduates have not only brought honor to themselves but have also demonstrated the power of education to transcend borders and cultures.

The commencement ceremony was graced by the presence of former senator and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, who delivered an inspiring speech to the freshly minted Ph.D. graduates. Pacquiao, known for his resilience both in the ring and in his political career, urged the graduates to carry these qualities into their professional lives. He emphasized the importance of remaining humble despite their academic accomplishments and encouraged them to approach their future endeavors with a strong sense of purpose and community service.

In his address, Pacquiao stated, “Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it’s about using that knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of others. As you step into the world as highly educated individuals, remember to be resilient, stay humble, and always put the welfare of your communities at the forefront of your endeavors.”

The ceremony marked not only the culmination of years of hard work and dedication but also the beginning of a journey for these graduates to contribute meaningfully to their respective fields and communities. The Philippine Christian University stands proud as a beacon of educational excellence, fostering global connections and producing graduates who are ready to make a difference in the world.
