Bono Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has been invited by the Police over allegations he made against former President John Dramani Mahama.
Abronye DC, as he has always been called, made a wild allegation the former President is planning to stage a coup with the help of Al Qaeda.
Abronye DC made the allegation on Hot 93.9FM’s political -talk show “Dwene Ho Bio” hosted by Agya Wusu while responding to issues on the arrest of the #FixTheCountry convenor Oliver Barker on social media post that he will stage a coup if E-levy is passed.
According to the NPP stalwart, John Mahama is in ties with the terrorist group to help him stage a coup to become president again.
He questioned why former President Mahama will tweet under Oliver Barker’s post if he has no idea of what he is planning to do.
He finally called on Ghanaians to accept the E-levy for more developmental projects.
Abronye DC is to report to the Regional Headquarters by 4 pm Tuesday to assist in investigation and will be arrested if he fails to honour the invitation, a police statement said.
