The Presidency has refuted allegations by US-based social media commentator Kevin Taylor, accusing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of owning multiple properties in the United Kingdom (UK).

The claims, described by the Presidency as “baseless and malicious,” were made during a broadcast on Taylor’s platform, Loud Silence.

In his monologue, Taylor alleged that the President owns as many as 15 properties in the UK, including one at 75 Nottingham Terrace, London, which he linked to a company named Stratton Enterprise Holding Limited.

However, Kevin Taylor provided no evidence to substantiate his claims and misrepresented property records.

Responding to the allegations Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, dismissed the claims as deliberate falsehoods aimed at tarnishing the President’s image.

“President Akufo-Addo does not own any property in London or any part of the UK. A simple check on the ownership of the said properties will confirm that they do not, and have never, belonged to the President,” Eugene Arhin emphasized

He explained that Taylor’s claims conflated unrelated property transactions involving the President’s younger brother, Edward Akufo-Addo, and his wife, Irene Akufo-Addo.

In 2005, the couple acquired 32 Nottingham Terrace for £350,000—a property entirely separate from 75 Nottingham Terrace, which Taylor falsely attributed to the President.

Kevin Taylor further alleged that President Akufo-Addo owns Stratton Enterprise Holding Limited, the entity associated with 75 Nottingham Terrace.

The Director of Communication at the Presidency categorically denied this, saying, “President Akufo-Addo has no knowledge of, let alone ownership of, a company by the name Stratton Enterprise Holding Limited.”

The Presidency expressed dismay at what it described as a campaign of lies targeting the outgoing President.

“It is unfortunate that such baseless accusations are being used to create unnecessary distractions at a time when our collective efforts should be focused on building a prosperous, progressive Ghana.”

“President Akufo-Addo is a man who has dedicated his life to serving the people of Ghana with honesty and integrity. These fabrications are nothing more than a malicious attempt to deceive the public as he prepares to leave office after a successful tenure,” he lamented.

Despite promising to share documents linking President Akufo-Addo to the alleged properties, Kevin Taylor has yet to provide any credible evidence.

Public records from the UK’s Land Registry confirm that the properties mentioned are not linked to the President.

The Presidency called on the public to disregard the claims and focus on the President’s achievements over his two terms in office, emphasizing the need to maintain decorum in public discourse.
