The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accepted the nomination of Mr. Kissi Agyebeng as Special Prosecutor.
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng was nominated by the Attorney General, Godfred Dame in accordance with Act 959 – Section 13(3).
In a statement issued by the Acting Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, the President has asked Parliament to expedite the approval of Mr. Agyebeng.
“The President is hopeful that Parliament will expedite the confirmation process of Mr. Kissi Agyebeng, so he can assume the position without delay,” portion of the statementread.
