A Retired Justice of the Supreme Court, William Atuguba has called out Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana Professor Ransford Gyampo for praise over what he said is his passion for Ghana.
According to the former apex court judge, Professor Gyampo represents the new hope of nationalists in the country particularly when all hope is lost.
He said “…It is for this reason that I would like to acknowledge, encourage and congratulate nationalists like Dr. Gyampo. I have never seen you but I followed him on social media, I understand he is in the Political Science Department.”
Justice Atuguba continued: “I will find time and get to meet him, he is a proper man, very fearless and impartial, that’s the most important thing….”
The Supreme Court Judge however warned the University of Ghana Political Science Lecturer to be wary of politicians.
“…But be careful with politicians just insist on the principles without falling to the temptation of that kind of political pedestrian garbage that is being spewed out on our airwaves almost every day, that aspect is not necessary”
Justice Atuguba was speaking at a public lecture themed “Protecting our democracy: the role of the Judiciary in Accra.
