Mr Seid Mubarak, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sunyani East Constituency is putting up a cancer treatment at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital.
On completion, he said the facility would be equipped with modern medical devices and equipment for cancer screening and treatment services.
Mr Mubarak made this known when he extended his “thank you tour”, to the Living Grace Ministries International at Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipality.
The MP said he was undertaking the tour to express his appreciation to the constituents for voting for him and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 General Election.
Mr Mubarak said he had prioritised health, assuring to do everything possible to help tackle the health needs of the people.
He urged the people to promote environmental cleanliness to prevent the outbreak of communicable diseases.
Bishop Dr Richard Owusu Akyeaw, the Founder and General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministry, advised politicians to concentrate on enhancing the welfare of the people they served.
“Leadership is all about serving and caring for the needs of the community”, he stated, urging people in leadership positions to view their appointments as call to help improve the socio-economic livelihoods of the people and not just a privilege.
Bishop Dr Acheaw urged the MP to remain humble, selfless and serve the people in diligence saying “the people you serve yearn for progressive development that will better their lives”.
So try to be responsible to represent the interests of the constituents in parliament and contribute to the holistic development of the Sunyani East constituency, he advised.
The MP was accompanied by Mr Vincent Antwi Agyei, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and other constituency executives of the NDC.
