Hassan Tampuli, the Member of Parliament for Gushegu in the Northern Region has handed over five new tractors to support farmers in the Constituency.
According to him, the gesture is phase one of three as the government continues to give hope to its population, over 96% of whom are farmers.
Mr. Tampuli also the Minister for Transport Minister-designate in inaugurating the farming equipment stated that the handing over of the tractors is in partial fulfilment of his covenant with the good people of Gushegu, to establish an Agric mechanisation center.
He said “We envisage that many more agricultural equipment and farm implements will be provided through our collaboration with our partners across the world, to make farmers in the Gushegu constituency feel the dividends of the excellent policies being rolled out by the government of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”
The Paramount Chief of Gushegu, Gushe Naa Abdulai Shitobu inspected and blessed the machines just as the Chief Imam and the clergy prayed for its sustenance and hoped for more of such interventions.
