The ‘organised hypocrisy’ of Mahama and his NDC is mind-boggling; their desperation is on cloud 9 – Salaam Mustapha

National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama of organized hypocrisy.

He made the remarks during a recent appearance on TV3, where he expressed deep concern about what he described as ‘organized hypocrisy’ within the NDC.

“It has become an organized hypocrisy under the NDC that we are seeing of late, organized hypocrisy,” Mustapha remarked, highlighting his perception of the NDC’s actions and statements.

He went on to emphasize the intensity of the NDC’s desire for power, stating, “I have seen desperation, and I’ve seen desperate people, but the desperation of the NDC for power and John Dramani Mahama is one that is on cloud nine. I’ve never seen this kind of desperation before.”

Mustapha took issue with comments made by former President John Dramani Mahama, who accused President Akufo-Addo’s government of appointing New Patriotic Party (NPP) loyalists to the courts.

Mustapha pointed out that there have been instances where members of the NDC have also served as judges. He cited the example of Amos Larweh Buertey, a former NDC Member of Parliament for Ada.

“Is he more human than anybody else,” Mustapha argued, challenging the notion that judicial appointees should be judged solely by their political affiliations.

He also highlighted the case of Justice Francis Kumi who he said also served as an NDC MP in Parliament.

He questioned the validity of these arguments and whether those appointed to judicial positions under the NPP government were not qualified or suitable for their roles due to their political backgrounds.

“So what is this hypocrisy,” Mustapha asked.

The NPP Youth Organizer expressed concern about the potential consequences of what he perceived as the NDC’s actions and statements and raised questions about the integrity of Ghana’s state institutions and their ability to function impartially if John Dramani Mahama were to become president again.

“One person this country has given everything to is John Mahama. He has been MP, Deputy Minister, Minister, Vice President, President, and everything. Now he wants to be president again.”

“The same institutions that guarantee all of us freedom, that we are all going about doing our things in normal, the same person who wants to be president is bastardizing the entire system,” Mustapha said.

“So all of a sudden, in the unlikely event John Mahama becomes president again, all of these state institutions are going to somersault just because he has become president,” he questioned.
