Founder of Atta-Mills Institute and former Deputy-General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has accused founders of the JEA Mills Memorial Heritage of ‘stealing his logo.’
According to him, the green and white background and the cowries that have been used as part of the symbol of the Heritage belongs to the Atta-Mills Institute, which have been plagiarized.
“When they were going to design their logo, they stole the Atta-Mills Institute’s Logo. Go and Look at our design, the green and white colour, the cowrie shell in the middle and the globe and then look at theirs. The same design, the same green and white colours and some chair in the middle. It is Atta Mills Institute that they’re copying,” he stated.
Mr. Koku Anyidoho made the accusation on Accra FM Morning Show on Tuesday and monitored by Mypublisher.com.
The discussion was on the launch of the JEA Mills Memorial Heritage as part of the commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the former President’s death.
Koku Anyidoho denied any association with the JEA Memorial Heritage and ridiculed the name as being unusually long for a foundation honouring the memory of the a President.
He said, “You have the Rawlings Institute, Kufuor Foundation, Busia Foundation, Danquah Institute, the Carter Institute, Reagan Institute, the Obama Foundation.”
“If you want to do it professionally that is how it is done. You don’t go and…, …Fitzgerald something something something. No, no!. We have just followed the tradition; Atta Mills Institute,” he added.
According to him, he has no idea about formation of the JEA Mills Memorial Heritage and that it has nothing to do with the Atta Mills Institute.
“I have heard in the media something is going on but it has nothing to do with the Atta Mills Institute, no,” he stated.
