Three NPP seats to be declared vacant after MPs breached 15-day rule

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has referred three Members of Parliament on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) side to the Privileges Committee for breaching the 15-day rule in the Chamber.

The three: Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo; Ayawaso Central MP, Henry Quartey; and Assin Central MP, Ken Ohene Agyapong, according to the Votes and Proceedings have absented themselves from the House for more than the mandatory sitting.

The Speaker on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, referred them to the Privileges Committee for the necessary action.
